Choose the SIM delivery format after checking your hardware, deployment countries and how devices will be maintained. An eSIM requirement does not remove the need to validate connectivity.
Start with the hardware you have
Record the device model, modem bands, SIM interface and installation location. For physical SIMs, confirm the supported card size and whether an installer can reach the slot. For eSIM, ask the device supplier to confirm the supported provisioning approach before committing to a rollout.
Separate a pilot from a wider rollout
A single-country pilot can start with a country-plan reference. Confirm the test period, data allowance and activation process with sales. A project spanning countries or device families needs a shared requirements brief before pricing is finalized.

List who is responsible for activation, usage review, support and replacement. If you need CMP visibility or API integration, specify the actions and data required. Connectivity management and device application management should have clearly assigned responsibilities.
Prepare a useful quote request
Send the target countries, device and modem models, expected monthly data, quantity and deployment dates. Identify any need for remote provisioning, phased deliveries or centralized management. This gives procurement and engineering teams a common starting point.
